This is called the hamburger menu. You can open or collapse the menu it provides.

Viewing the menu from the dashboard.
When clicking on the lines it will open a range of options to choose from.
1. Dashboard - This is blue because it is where your current location is on the website.
2. Site home - This is similar to Dashboard with less information on the page.
3. Calendar - The calendar will have all your dues dates for assignments, forums, or anything that has a date connected to it.
4. Private files - This is where you can save some files. The space limit is 100MB.
5. The Square Academic Cap - The icons that show the academic caps signify the courses your are enrolled in.

When clicking on the lines it will open a range of options to choose from.
1. The Square Academic Cap - The icon represents the course paper you are currently viewing in.
2. The People Icon - By clicking on this icon it will take you to a list of the current participant in your course. Some courses have these paticipants hidden.
3. Badge Icon - Badges are a good way of celebrating achievement and showing progress. This is very rarely used in the higher level programmes.
4. The Tick Box Icon - Competencies describe the level of understanding or profiency of a learner in certain subject related skills. Some teachers used these and some do not.
5. Grades - This is where you can locate your grades. Please note that all grades in eWānanga are provisional only.
6. Folder Icon - The folder icons are the quick links to the tabs on your course page.
